Dr Simon Phipps established his ophthalmology practice to ensure that patients in the South Australian community receive the highest level of care available, based on the latest technology. The practice cooperates with a strong referral base of general practitioners and optometrists, and actively co-manages retinal, diabetic, glaucoma and other complex conditions with other specialties. The most up to date laser and diagnostic technology, combined with a patient first focus, assures patients that the highest standard of ophthalmic care is provided.

The Medical Director, Dr Phipps, is a cataract and laser eye surgeon qualified in medicine, surgery, eye surgery, and admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australia & New Zealand College of Ophthalmology. He holds an appointment at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, and previously undertook a fellowship in cataract and refractive surgery at the well known Gimbel Eye Center in Calgary, Canada, and a Glaucoma fellowship at Moorfields hospital in London, UK. Dr Phipps and his clinical support staff cooperate to provide the highest standard of care to all patients.

The practice welcomes patients with or without private health insurance as well as DVA cardholders. Gap payments are charged for consultations, diagnostic testing and therapeutic procedures with reduced rates offered to pensioners and the unemployed.
